Preparing for Public Mass Updates

While we do not yet have a confirmed opening date, we wanted to advise you of the future requirements to attend Mass at St. Teresa of Avila. In order to proceed safely with resuming in-person attendance at Mass, we are seeking volunteers to serve as ushers. Importantly, if we do not have at least four volunteer ushers for a Mass, that Mass will not be open for in-person attendance. We will continue to live stream all Masses.

Return to Mass Usher Responsibilities

Arrive at least a half-hour before Mass for training and organization. Collect and assist attendees in completing affidavits. Control the entry of attendees into the church, and guide attendees to the pews. Ensure that attendees are maintaining physical distancing and other safety practices. Ideally, volunteers would make a weekly or bi-weekly commitment to help.

Before You Arrive
